Candy Cane Candle Centerpiece

This candy cane candle centerpiece is perfect for any holiday table. It’s so easy and fun your children will want to make one for every table in your home. They make great gifts as well!SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Tall Scented Candle (size depends on the table you want to display it on)
Candy Canes (enough to go around your candle)
Ribbon (color that matches your candy canes)
Aleene’s Tacky Craft Glue

DIRECTIONS:
1. Put something down to protect your work space (if needed)

2. Spread a thin layer of Aleene’s Tacky Glue around the outside center of the candle.

3. Making sure the candy canes (with their wrappers on) are all facing the same way, stick them to the candle on the glue (this may be easier to do a small section at a time for your first candle). Candy canes should start at the bottom of the candle with the “hook” moving up the candle. Your candle should be an inch or so taller than the candy canes (this craft will not work if your candle is shorter than the candy canes.

* The candy canes may try to fall off, just stick them back on.

4. Tie your ribbon around the candy canes. Make a pretty bow or use a pre-made bow for the front.

*You can stop here or use more embellishments. Wrap some greenery and add scented pine cones to the bottom of your candle for a more festive look.

VARIATIONS:
* Try twisting a metallic multicolored star garland (available at party stores) up the candle for a great New Years Eve Decoration.

* Be creative for every holiday.
