Chocolate Rootbeer Float Recipe

Remember the days when you could go to the soda shop and get a root beer float? This time honored treat has been tweaked a bit to be a healthier choice for our children. The next time you want to treat your child to a special dessert, try this delicious recipe.

Ingredients:

1 quart of frozen, nonfat vanilla yogurt
1 cup of nonfat vanilla yogurt
¼ cup of nonfat chocolate syrup
12 oz. can of root beer
Chocolate sprinkles (optional)
Cool Whip (optional)

Step 1

In a food processor or blender container, mix 1 quart of frozen, nonfat vanilla yogurt,  1 cup of nonfat vanilla yogurt and ¼ cup of nonfat chocolate syrup. Blend until smooth.

Step 2

Pour ½ of the yogurt mixture evenly into your glasses.

Step 3

Pour ½ a can of root beer evenly over yogurt mixture.

Step 4

Repeat steps 2 and three.

Step 5 – OPTIONAL

Top each glass off with Cool Whip Whipped Topping and Chocolate Sprinkles.

* Makes 12 (2/3 cup) servings.
