Glittering Bulb Ornament

Your children will love making glittering bulbs. Your holiday will shine with these simple holiday decorations.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Glitter Glue
Recycled Newspaper
Shiny Tree Ornaments
Ribbon

DIRECTIONS:
1. Cover your work space with recycled newspaper.

2. Gather several plain, shiny, unbreakable Christmas tree balls.

3. Using glitter glue, write names, messages, and designs on the bulbs.

4. Dry overnight.

5. Tie a long ribbon in a bow, loop ends, and knot to hang.

VARIATIONS AND TIPS:

* You can also paint your tree ornaments with craft paint and roll your ornament in the glitter.

* If your bulb is really wet, try drying them on wax paper or use a blow dryer to help dry them so they don’t stick to anything.

* A fun look is to paint the bulbs white and let dry. Then follow one of the following tips:

1. Paint red diagonal stripes around the bulb. Sprinkle the red stripes with red glitter and set aside to dry.

2. Place three red dots of paint in the center of the bulb. Sprinkle with red glitter. Paint green holly leaves around the red dots and sprinkle green glitter over the leaves. Set aside to dry.

3. If you are artistic, draw a snowman, Santa, a tree, an angel, an elf, etc. on your bulb. Choose one or two things to add glitter to like: Santa’s beard, a reindeer’s nose, the elf’s hat, the snowman’s buttons, the angel’s wings, etc.

* Once they dry, these are great for gifts.
