Holiday Cookie Recipe

Need a quick and easy treat for your holiday party? This is one of the easiest treats to make and your children, as well as the adults, will love them. Your children will enjoy making them as much as eating them.

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb. of Oreo Cookies
Red Chocolate Pieces
Green Chocolate Pieces
White Chocolate Pieces
Waxed Paper
Decorating Bag with a Star Tip
Decorating Bag with a Writing Tip (optional)
Medium and Small Saucepans

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a medium sauce pan, melt 2 cups of red chocolate pieces.

2. Coat your Oreo cookie in the melted chocolate.

3. Place the cookie on the waxed paper to cool.

4. Once cooled completely, melt 1/2 cup of green chocolate pieces.

5. Place the melted green chocolate in the decorating bag with the star tip. Make a triangle by “dotting” the cookie. This should look like a Christmas tree.

6. Repeat the above steps using the green chocolate to coat the cookie. Use the star tip to make two or three circles of different sizes stacked on top of each other from the white chocolate. This should look like a snowman.

7. Repeat the above steps using the white chocolate to coat the cookie. Use the star tip to make a stocking shape from the red chocolate.

* Get creative and use more colors. Draw holy, stars or any other holiday shapes.
