Popsicle Stick Snowman Craft

This Snowman Craft makes a great decoration to adorn your tables, hang on your door or Christmas Trees. Kid’s will love personalizing them and giving them as gifts.Popsicle Stick Snowmen are easy to make. Painting the Popsicle sticks can be the messy. You may want to paint your sticks the day before (especially if you are painting another project) so your sticks have plenty of time to dry.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
7 Jumbo craft sticks
White and Black paint (you may want to spray-paint the sticks beforehand)
Decorative ribbon about 5in long (for hat)
2 Large wiggle eyes
5 small rocks (about 1/4 inch diameter) or buttons.
Orange craft foam, felt, or construction paper
Black Marker (optional)
Magnetic Tape
Scissors
Hot glue and hot glue gun or white glue.

DIRECTIONS:
1. Paint six craft sticks white.

2. Allow the paint to dry.

3. Paint one of the craft sticks entirely black.

4. Paint the top 2in of the six white sticks black (to form the hat)

5. Allow the paint to dry completely.

6 Add 1 inch piece of magnet tape to the back

7. Glue the six white craft sticks to the cardboard scrap as shown.

8. Glue the black craft stick down to create the brim of the hat, as shown.

9. Glue the wiggle eyes on to the snowman’s face.

10. Cut out a triangle of orange craft foam (the carrot nose)

11. Glue the carrot on to the snowman’s face

12. Wrap the ribbon around the brim of the hat and glue the ends in place on the back.

13. Glue each of the small stones or buttons to the snowman’s face in the shape of a smile.

CAUTION: Hot glue guns and hot glue can burn skin. Only use a hot glue gun with adult supervision.
