Thanksgiving Turkey Sugar Cookies
If you are looking for something fun to do with the kid’s this Thanksgiving, this recipe is just the project you’ve been looking for. Your kid’s will love decorating their cookies. They make great gifts or treats for Fall Parties.

INGREDIENTS:
1 Roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated sugar cookies
1 Container (1 lb.) Chocolate creamy ready to spread frosting
Candy Corn
Orange decorating icing
Miniature candy-coated chocolate baking bits (M&Ms work well)
Black decorating gel
DIRECTIONS:
* Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
1. Cut cookies from the log, no more than ¼ inch thick (If too soft to cut into slices, refrigerate up to 30 minutes).
2. Bake cookies as directed on roll.
3. Cool completely, about 20 minutes.

4. Spoon chocolate frosting into cake decorating bag or Ziploc storage bag (seal bag and cut small hole in 1 corner of bag).
5. Pipe frosting on outer edge of half of each cookie. Arrange candy corn over frosting with the small end pointing towards the center of the cookie for feathers.
6. Draw two small legs with the orange icing and a “V” (for the beak) onto each cookie to look like turkey face and feet.
7. Use orange icing to attach baking bits (or M&Ms) to turkey face for eyes (just above the beak).
8. Dot black gel on baking bits (or M&Ms) for centers of eyes.
