Twinkling Sparkle Bottle

Who wouldn’t want a magical Sparkle Bottle? They are cool to look at and fun to make. This easy project will be a favorite in house with children. Parents might even enjoy the magic!
Things You’ll Need:
20 ounce clear soda bottle
Light corn syrup
Assorted metallic confetti
Cold water

Step1 The first thing you need to make this fun Sparkle Bottle is remove the label from your clear soda bottle I like to use a Coke bottle because the shape is more unusual but a Pepsi bottle or other clear bottle will work fine. Wash the inside and make sure it is dry.

Step2 Next, fill your clear bottle with light Kyro corn syrup 3/4 of the way.

Step3 Add a small handful of metallic confetti to your bottle.

Step4 Add water to the bottle (not quite full. Leave room for the water to move). Replace the lid and close securely.

Step5 Shake your Sparkle Bottle and watch it twinkle as the light bounces off the metallic confetti.

Step6 VARIATION: Make a Sparkle Wand.
1. Buy a 1-inch diameter clear plastic aquarium lift tube (you can get one at the pet supply stores).
2. Buy two 1-inch plastic chair leg caps (you can get these at a hardware store).
3. Glue one chair leg cap to one end of the aquarium lift tube.
4. Once it is secure and glue is dry, fill the clear tube 3/4 of the way with the corn syrup.
5. Add some metallic confetti.
6. Add some water.
7. Glue the other chair leg cap to the open end.
8. Once the glue is dry, shake and watch your wand glitter and sparkle!
